Celebrities are always working hard to look their best, but sometimes they go to some rough extremes in order to look sexy, slim, and beautiful. Juicing seems to be a huge trend in weight loss today. The idea is that you get all of the nutrients in fruits and vegetables when you juice them, but your body doesn’t have to work so hard on digestion. Celebrities will ditch solid foods altogether for days at a time and stick with juicing exclusively, but this could actually do quite a bit of harm.

Experts are now recommending avoiding juicing. First off, there’s more nutrition involved with eating an entire piece of fruit or a vegetable. Juicing, which removes fiber, could result in constipation, and because fruits contain so much sugar, you could also increase your risk of dental problems and diabetes.

Tight Corsets
Another one of the celebrity slimming trends that you should avoid involves wrapping yourself in a tight corset. Celebrities have used corsets to “waist train” and force their bodies into an hourglass shape. But the truth is that this isn’t a means by which you can get rid of fat cells in the body. Instead, what you’ll end up doing is feeling uncomfortable.

At best, you won’t be able to eat as much because your body is constricted in the corset, and that may help you lose weight, but the tight corset itself won’t change the shape of your body.

The use of diuretics is yet another of several celebrity slimming trends. But celebrities who use diuretics to lose weight are, once again, trying to take a fast and easy route to weight loss. These pills will basically cause you to get rid of excess water in the body. Overdoing it, however, could result in dehydration and other health concerns.

A better route to take would be to exercise and eat foods that contain natural diuretic properties. A couple of examples are beets and asparagus. These foods won’t only help you get rid of excess water weight, but will also give your body the nutrition it needs to thrive.
